The SoHo Playhouse, Inc (Darren Lee Cole, Artistic Dir) will present THE CANTERBURY TALES REMIXED, written and performed by Baba Brinkman with music and turntablism by Mr. Simmonds and directed by Darren Lee Cole. Geoffrey Chaucer's timeless Canterbury Tales comes to life in a performance linking today's hip-hop lyrics with the greatest stories ever told.  Framed by re-imaginings of the epic poems Gilgamesh and Beowulf, Mr Brinkman, a Canadian hip-hop artist, forges a new piece out of the rawest material etched onto vinyl, or carved into clay tablets. “The Canterbury Tales Remixed” will begin previews on Wed Nov 23 and will Open on Sun Dec 4 (to 1/8/12) at the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street).  For tickets, please call 691-1555.  Press contact: Joe Trentacosta (354-4660)...
