Producers Broadway Across America (John Gore, Thomas B McGrath, Beth Williams), Barbara Whitman, Latitude Link, Dede Harris, Sharon Karmazin, and Howard and Janet Kagan have announced that the La Jolla Playhouse production of the new musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY will start Previews on Sat Feb 23, 2013 and Open on Thurs Mar 21 at the Brooks Atkinson (256 West 47th St). 

The Broadway production will feature the full cast from the La Jolla Playhouse engagement: Keith Carradine, Allison Case, Hunter Foster , Jay Armstrong Johnson, David Larsen, Jacob Ming-Trent, Kathleen Elizabeth Monteleone, Mary Gordon Murray, Jim Newman, Connie Ray, Jon Rua, Keala Settle, Dale Soules, Scott Wakefield & William Youmans.

Inspired by true events and based on the acclaimed 1997 documentary of the same name that was created by SR Bindler and produced by Bindler and Kevin Morris, the musical features a Book by Doug Wright, Lyrics by Amanda Green, Music by Trey Anastasio & Amanda Green, Direction by Neil Pepe & musical staging by Sergio Trujillo.
