Broadway Bares Set to Make Summer Sizzle on Sunday, June 23

Broadway Bares returns with two performances featuring more than 150 of New York City’s most scintillating dancers on Sun June 23 at the Hammerstein Ballroom (311 W 34th St.) Tickets to the annual event, which is produced by and benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, are on sale at broadwaycares.org/bares. Shows at 9:30 PM and midnight will start NYC Pride Week with full-out and fabulous production numbers in a one-night-only extravaganza of tantalizing talent and incomparable performances. This year’s theme will be announced in May. Kellen Stancil takes the reins as director.  Joining Stancil as associate director is Paula DeLuise. Creator Jerry Mitchell and Nick Kenkel, a longtime Bares director and performer, are executive producers. Last year’s edition raised $1.88 million, bringing its lifetime total to more than $26 million. Broadway Bares receives support from presenting sponsor M∙A∙C Viva Glam and lead corporate sponsors United Airlines and ViiV Healthcare.
