MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey and William Cantler, Artistic Dirs; Blake West, Exec Dir) has announced a starry line-up of performers for its annual Miscast gala, to be held Mon Mar 4 at The Hammerstein Ballroom (311 W 34th St).  Miscast 2013 will honor Judith Light for her illustrious screen and stage career, her work with MCC Theater and her impassioned advocacy of several causes, including Arts in Education.  This year’s Miscast will be hosted by Victor Garber. This year’s roster of performers includes Christian Borle, Jane Krakowski, LaChanze, Jonathan Groff, Jeremy Jordan, Marin Mazzie, Patrick Wilson, Jason Danieley, Megan Hilty, Cheyenne Jackson, Jesse L Martin & Nicole Parker. The Musical Director for the evening is Phil Reno. Miscast is a one-night-only musical spectacular featuring stars performing songs from roles in which they would never be cast. Proceeds from Miscast 2013, as always, support MCC Theater’s mission to develop and produce exciting work Off-Broadway as well as its Youth Company and partnerships with New York City public high schools, and sustain MCC’s literary development work with emerging playwrights.
