Abingdon Theatre Company is set to celebrate its 2013-14 Season with Abingdon: Swinging on a Star, its Annual Benefit Gala and dinner, on Mon Oct 7 at Espace (635 West 42nd St) beginning at 6:00 PM. Dick Cavett is set to host. The evening honors award-winning veteran of stage, screen and television, Frances Sternhagen. The gala also honors Barbara Blair Randall, President of New York’s Fashion Center Business Improvement District, and actress Sheila Burkert. Proceeds benefit Abingdon Theatre Company's mission to develop and produce new American plays. The Gala features tributes to all three honorees, plus entertainment, silent and live auctions, and exciting surprises throughout the night.
