MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey and William Cantler, Artistic Dirs; Blake West, Executive Dir) has announce that this year’s Miscast gala will honor actress Allison Janney. Ms Janney will be celebrated for her daring, risk-taking spirit and for her extraordinary career on stage, in film, and on television. "Miscast 2014" will be held Mon Mar 31, 2014 at The Hammerstein Ballroom (311 W 34th St).  In MCC's annual Miscast gala, Broadway’s hottest stars perform songs from roles in which they would never be cast. The lineup of performers will be announced at a later date. Proceeds will support MCC Theater’s mission to develop and produce exciting work Off-Broadway, as well as its Youth Company and partnerships with New York City public high schools, and MCC’s literary development work with emerging playwrights. For ticket & more info, please visit www.mcctheater.org.
