Transport Group Theatre Company will present THE MUSIC MAN in concert on Mon Aug 11 at 8:00 PM at the The Irene Diamond in The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W 42nd St). The evening will be directed by Jack Cummings III.  Casting will be announced at a later date. One of America's most cherished musicals, "The Music Man" follows shyster businessman Harold Hill as he tries to dupe the citizens of River City, Iowa with false promises of a boys' band. But when the town's beautiful yet hopelessly stubborn librarian catches Harold's eye, this town suddenly becomes harder to skip.  The 1957 musical has Book, Music, and Lyrics by Meredith Willson, based on a story by Willson and Franklin Lacey.
