“Faith Healer” tells the moving tale of dissolute, charismatic Frank Hardy, his long-time lover, Grace, and his devoted manager as they travel the back roads of Scotland and Wales peddling miracles. As the three wrestle with Hardy's genuine but elusive gift for healing, they ask potent questions about who we trust, what we know and why we believe.

“Faith Healer” originally opened on B’way on Apr 5, 1979 at the Longacre under the auspices of Morton Gottlieb.  José Quintero directed a cast which included Donal Donnelly, Clarissa Kaye & James Mason.  Sidelight: The Dublin Gate Theatre production of “Faith Healer” began a limited engagement on Feb 2 in Dublin, Ireland.  Jonathan Kent directed a cast which included Ingrid Craigie,  Ralph  Fiennes  &  Ian  McDiarmid.
