"Plaza Suite" was extended after COVID-19 caused the cancellation of several perfs. This production was originally halted in Rehearsals (which began 3/9/20) due to COVID 19 health restrictions. It was originally scheduled to begin Previews on March 13, 2020 (the day of the shutdown), and Open on April 13, 2020. "Plaza Suite" played a pre-Broadway engagement at the Emerson Colonial Theatre in February 2020, the same theater where it had its 1968 world premiere. It first opened on Broadway in 1968, directed by Mike Nichols and starring George C Scott & Maureen Stapleton
