For The Record:
Michael Mayer directed a production of "Funny Girl" at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London in 2015, which starred Sheridan Smith. That production had a revised Book by Harvey Fierstein. Idina Menzel was originally slated for Fanny, and Rosie O'Donnell hinted she would play her mother.
