“High” explores the universal themes of truth, forgiveness, redemption and human fallibility. When Sister Jamison Connolly (Ms Turner) agrees to sponsor a 19 year-old drug user in an effort to help him combat his addiction, her own faith is ultimately tested. Struggling between the knowledge she possesses as a rehabilitation counselor and a woman of religious conviction, she begins to question her belief in miracles and whether people can find the courage to change.
"High" had its World Premiere on July 9th, 2010 at TheaterWorks in Hartford, CT with Ms Turner as Sister Jamison Connelly, Michael Berresse as Father Michael Delpapp and Evan Jonigkeit as Cody, under the direction of Mr Ruggiero. After rewrites, the production opened at The Cincinnati Playhouse in Cincnnati, OH on September 9th, 2010, subsequently opening at The Repertory Theatre of St Louis in St Louis, MO on October 13th, 2010 before making it's Broadway transfer.
