This production was originally scheduled to close August 21, 2022, but was extedended (resulting in "The Piano Lesson" switching from the St James to the Barrymore). It originated at City Center Encores!, where it played in May 2022. That cast included Heather Headley (The Witch), Neil Patrick Harris (The Baker) and Denee Benton (Cinderella), among other differences.
