Oscar Wilde’s play which recounts the legend of King Herod and his unbridled lust for his young stepdaughter, Salome.
For The Record:
Al Pacino originally played the role of Herod in 1992 at the Circle in the Square. Robert Allan Ackerman was the Director, and Lar Lubovitch was the Choreographer. Sheryl Lee (Salome) and Suzanne Bertish played featured roles. "Salome: The Reading,'' directed by Estelle Parsons, was developed at the Actors Studio and transferred to St Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn on November 12th, 2002 and then to the Bardavon 1869 Opera House in Poughkeepsie, NY in February of 2003.
