Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived. From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, "Six" the wives of Henry VIII take the mic to reclaim their identities out of the shadow of their infamous spouse—remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into an exuberant celebration of 21st century girl power.
This production was halted in Previews (which began 2/13/20) due to COVID 19 health restrictions. It began Rehearsals on January 27, 2020 and was originally slated to open on March 12, 2020, the day performances were halted. "Six" had its World Premiere at the Edinbugh Festival, and then played London and toured before opening on the West End in January 2019. It made its American Premiere in May 2019 at Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Prior to Broadway, the show will play at American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, MA (August 21 - September 7), the Citadel in Edmonton, AB (November 2-24) and the Ordway in Saint Paul, MN (November 29 - December 22).
