Vanda is a preternaturally talented young actress determined to land the lead in a new play based on the classic erotic novel, Venus in Fur. Her emotionally charged audition for Thomas, the play’s adapter/director, becomes an electrifying game of cat and mouse blurring the lines between fantasy and reality, seduction and power, love and sex.
For The Record: "Venus in Fur" will re-open on February 7, 2012 at the Lyceum. The limited engagement will continue through June 17, 2012. "Venus in Fur" will be produced at the Lyceum by Jon B Platt, Scott Landis, Manhattan Theatre Club Productions, Inc. (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove Executive Producer), Jessica R Jenen, Scott M Delman, and Classic Stage Company... “Venus in Fur” had its World Premiere at Classic Stage Company (Brian Kulick, Artistic Dir; Jessica R Jenen, Exec Dir) on Jan 26, 2010. That production was also directed by Mr Bobbie and featured Ms Arianda.
